KakakTua Mersing Guest House

Through our keyhole shape wall, KakakTua welcomes you to our little shophouse haven in the centre of charming Mersing old town. We have six guest rooms, four upstairs and two in the downstairs courtyard. Find out more about our guest rooms below.

We hope to provide those who stay with us access to the real Mersing town, a glimpse into local life via the voices of the community who know the town best.

Courtyard Family Room

MYR 300 /room / night

The courtyard family room opens onto the ground floor courtyard. These rooms have 2 single beds (which can be arranged into 1 double) and 2 bunk beds. Perfect for a family of 4 or a group of friends. You will be allocated a bathroom with hot shower (this is not attached to the bedroom).

First Floor Double Room

MYR 200 / room / night

Double rooms are on the first floor above the café. These rooms can accommodate two people with 2 single beds or 1 double bed. You will be allocated a bathroom with hot shower on the first floor (this is not attached to the bedroom). Two of our first floor double rooms connect and are perfect for a family of 4.

There are three first floor double rooms at KakakTua.

First Floor Family Room

MYR 300 / room / night

The first floor family room can accommodate up to 4 guests with 2 queen-sized beds. You will be allocated a bathroom with hot shower on the first floor (this is not attached to the bedroom). The first floor family room connects with one of the double rooms and would be perfect for a larger family.

Enjoy our colourful, newly renovated bathrooms — clean, pretty with hot showers and super comfy beds. Perfect to recharge after a day out exploring Mersing town or hiking the nearby forests.

If you’ve got a day of adventure planned before check-in or after check-out, leave your bags with us and pick them up when you’re heading out of town.

Stop downstairs to hangout or “lepak” with a good coffee and a piece of homemade carrot cake (with vanilla cream icing!) kicking back on one of our vintage pre-loved rattan chairs.

We have free, fast wi-fi for all! KakakTua is a great place to do a bit of WFH — something many of us have become familiar with in the new normal.
